Civic Engagement

The GFWC Civic Engagement and Outreach Community Service Program is designed to actively connect members with effective projects and activities relating to civic and social responsibilities.  This program focuses on citizenship, military personnel, emergency and disaster preparedness, and safety and crime prevention.

  • Greenlight A Vet Campaign

Throughout the month of November, NJWC club members will be showing their support for our nation's veterans by changing one outdoor light to green.

The Greenlight A Vet is a national campaign that encourages citizens to show visible support for veterans. Green lights will be shining during November or throughout the end of the year as a way to show our appreciation for those who have served.

  • Appreciating our Fire and Police Departments

These are gift baskets we presented to our local fire and police departments to show our appreciation.

  • Pinwheels for Prevention

In April, NJWC club members planted over 450 pinwheels in front of Town Hall to commemorate National Child Abuse Prevention Month.  Prevent Child Abuse America is the leading national organization that works solely to prevent the abuse and neglect of our nation's children.
